v Gracejane Stanfield, Pets in a jar, 91pp. v My favorite part is when the book talks about caterpillars. It says they are picky eaters. There is a picture with a caterpillar trying a leaf. There is a word bubble that is to the caterpillar. The bubble says “ Ugh” v I connect with this book because I love keeping animals. For certain, bugs. They’re just so cute. v 5 out of 5 stars. This is the best informational book ever.

My favorite part is when it showed this guy going up a big ramp. I like watching people get high in the air and doing flips. It helps you learn how to do some tricks.
This book made me think of Tony Hawk because a picture in the book showed Big Air and Tony usually does Big Air.

This book shows the different parts of the skate board and how to keep your board in good shape. It said to not push down on the tail and make it slide. It also said to keep your board from getting wet.
This book made me think of the other skateboarding book I read.

My favorite part is when it showed a guy doing the pogo. I think it's cool how they just jump off the bike and land on the pegs. It told you how to do the bar spin too.
This made me think about my friends brother who could do bar spins.

My favorite part is that the biggest animal that has ever lived on Earth is a blue whale.An adult blue whale is so huge that an elephant chould walk into it's opened mouth.This is my favorite part because I didn't know that a elephant could walk into a blue whales mouth.
In the book they were talking about tadpoles and how they form. This made me think about the tadpoles we had in my class last year. They didn't turn into frogs at all.

My favorite part is when the little girl gos to get her HOSPITAL pj's on.Than she gos to the weight and height measurer to see her height and weight.The doctors take her to her bed in the HOSPITAL.The bed is very high and soft.When she's done she gos home.
My connection is how I saw my sister with her arm in a cast,I found out she broke her arm and had ggone to the HOSPITAL.

My favorite law is... in Arkansas it is illegal to mispronounce the states name in that state.The dumbest law is Princeton,Texas makes it illegal to throw an onion.The funniest law is in Hartford,Connecticut, you can't cross the street walking on your hand's.The wierdest law is that in Hillsboro,Oregon it is unlawful to allow your horse to sit in the back seat of your car.
My connection is when I was little I was jumping of the side many,many times and my friend said I was doing something illegal,but she was 8 yr. old I was 6 yr.old.But anyway she was just saying thet to fool me,and you can see that I believed her.

She put scrips like '' you went to work and got rewarded with bread and beer.
My connection was when the main character put eye paint on princess Cleopatra.
It reminded me of when i watched face off, and the painters put make up on random people.

My favorite part is when they told me about the ancient pyramids. They were supposed to be graves for the kings of Egypt. They used the pyramids for hiding treasure, like gold and silver. Scavengers went down into the pyramids and they found a tomb that was empty. This was favorite part because I like to learn about old stuff.
My connection to this book is that my friend Nathan did Egypt for World Party. When I saw Mr. Kelly’s room they had the same fact from my book on the table.

My favorite part is when it say in Glendale, Arizona it is against the law to back up in a car.
My favorite part is when they talk about Mosquitoes. Mosquitoes do not haves no teath and no mouth. Females Mosquitoes has long tupes that gets in mans,womens,and kids blood. The blood helps in Mosuitoes have thier baby.
When I read about how mosquito females need blood to make their eggs, it made me think about when my brother and sister bit a lot in the summer, but mosquitos don't actually bit, they suck the blood out.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

My favorite frog they talk about is the Glass Frog. The picture showed the bottom of the Glass Frog it showed the heart, lungs organs, and the tummy,but not the rib because frogs have no ribs. The Glass Frog also has similar organs as we do. The reason they call it a Glass Frog is because their clear.
My connection the Bull Frog soaking up water is when washing paint off my face, the wash cloth soaked up all the water.

My favorite part of the book is when it talks about The Iceman. Over 5,000 years ago The Iceman was surprised by a snowstorm, so he took shelter between two ridges of rocks. But he the storm was men and strong, and he died because of the cold. Years, and years past till one day the snow melted, and some men found The Iceman. It turned out that The Iceman was the oldest mummy ever, he died between 3350 and 3300 B.C.
My connection to The Iceman is when I was littlle got stuck in mud, and almost never got out.
