• Aubrey, Little House in the Big Woods, author?, 238 p
• The best part I think was interesting was when Pa was coming from town. He thought he saw a bear in the path. It wasn't a bear. It was a dead tree that looked like a bear with his arms up. When he got home he told Laura and Mary about what he thought he saw.
• I thought about how I go hunting and how Pa had to go hunting for food.
• I think that this book is a rating of 4 stars.

• I think the best part of the book is,when Chet saves Sid from being eaten by the shark in the creek.I also like how Chet still saved Sid after Sid teased Chet.And what I really like is when Sid,Drewy,and Monty thank him by helping Chet not get eaten by the shark,but Chet did get a chunk of his calf torn off.
• I have a connection with this book,I go swimming in lakes and I always fill a big,big,big wave on me from underwater,and I wonder if its a shark that wont attack me.
• I woud give this book a rating of 5 stars.

· My favorite part is whenever the Titanic sinks because there is a lot of action. People are falling and jumping off so they can survive. People are getting on boats. People are getting to the top because it’s falling backwards and they fall sideways onto other people.
· A connection is I had a raft boat and we were pretending like we were sinking and that we were the people sinking while we were in my pool.

• My favorite part is when they go on trips.They had to go on the bus like evevy day.They go to all over the America to play baseball.They get at places late at night.

• My favorite part is when Hubert's lizard goes crazy and breaks every thing in the house. The lizard went crazy because he was freaked out. Hubert's lizard was freaked out because he thougt that he was getting food but the food was in this invention that Hubert made and the lizard climbed in it to get the food,then the door slamed shut.

• Caden Johnson, I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic 1912 , by Lauren Tarshis. 96 pgs.
• My favorite part was when everyone they knew the titanic was sinking and then Marco said We will go up. Aunt Daisey asked him how. So Phoebe grabbed George's hand because she knew he had been exploring the ship and he knew better than anyone how to get around in it.
• My connection is I like to explore and I like to tell people how to get out of stuff like george does.

• Ellyana Norton,Beloved Leah, Cynthia Davis,205
• My favorite part of the book is when Leah had her first born son.Her and her husband Jacob/Israel named him Reuben.Reuben grew to be a shepard.He had many more brothers.One he lost,but he found again.
• My connection is when I wanted to get something from someone,but couldn't.Just like Leah,she wanted love from her husband and in the end of her story she forgave herself of how she led her sons to be angry like her.She found out that her husband had loved her from the begining.

• My favorite part is when they soled a lot of soups . Mr.Aladdin is the one who bayed all of them . She falled out of her chair when he told her . She was really happy. Now they can get the lamp for the leving room.

• My favorite part is when Angel has the baby. That was my favorite part because they were all a family.

• My favorite part is when Corey shows mingo how to write. I think it would be wierd not to be able to write.

• My favorite part of the book is when Joshua went to a lot of places.He went to Texas,Oklahoma,and Kanas.He call it the chisholm trail.The cities he went in Kanas is Dodge city, Wichita, Caldwell, Abilene, and Ellsworth.

• My favorite part of the book is when Ida came back to the Sutton family. Before she left she had been rewarded. How was she rewarded, what was she rewarded for? She was also picked on a lot. She came back to live in the Sutton's house,with Mr.Sutton's family.
• My connection with Ida is how she got picked on a lot,when I was littler I was picked on a lot too.

• My favorite part was when jake said "this is totally stupid then they said" he slimped down in his seat and doodled with his finger in the car seat window.so it said pros and cons had battled in his head.

• My favorite part was when Annemarie saved her friend,Ellen's life.She had delivered a package with a hankercheif.It smelled of dead rabbit.Her mother was very proud of her.Her Uncle was also very proud of her.

• My favorite sport part is when reggie bush is jumping over a UCLA for the winning touchdown. I like this part because i have never seen anyone jump over anybody before.( exept whenever terrel owens jumped over the eagle's to win the super bowl. I also like this part because reggie bush had a hurt knee in this picture and was able to jump over UCLA.
• I can connect because i have jump oner hurdles doing hurdle races.

• my favorite part was when bea adam's younger sister shoved her teddy bear in his face. it was funny. I thought i was in book heaven
• my connection is when bea shoved her teddy bear in Adams face. i did that to my brother. except he was not nice about it

• My favorite part is when they got to the Alamo and he was starting to stoot and later the Mexican army went looking for the survivers and he was one of them and he got shot in a closet. That was my favorite part because he was one of the survivers and I thought he got killed while every one else was alive.
• My connection to this book is to davy, he goes hunting and i go hunting too. The only thing he hade that was differant from me is that he had a raccon hat.

• Grace, The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate, 340 pp.
• My favorite part is when all Calpurina's Brothers fall in love with Lula. James Bowie gets her to like him. The book dousn't say if they go on any dates. But, thats not inportant.
• I connect because I am also a tomboy. I would hate to were dresses all the time.

• AJ Pando, the mostly true adventures of homer p. fig, Rodman Philbrick, pp217.
• My favorite part is when no one could shoot him. I thought that when homer shot his brother it was bad but it was not because he was not killed. I liked that the author described it.
• My connection is homer shot a gun it made me think of when I shot a gun.

• My favoret part is when a kid tries to make a smaller blind kid fall off of his skatbord,he tried to kick a trash can infront of the blind kid and make him fall.He did not fall beacase aparintly his ears are his eyes so he can see with his ears WOW!!!!!!!
• My connection is that i had to deal with a school bully at my old school in kanas...

• Maddie, I survived the shark attack of 1916, by tarshis lauren, 106
• My favorite part was when the three boys were swimming in the creek, and their best friend was worried about the shark attacking. So he did his best by explaining why they might want to get out, but as usuall they weren't instrested they told him '' sure theres a shark in the creek'' or wish''. He didn't know what to do finally what he knew would happend came. All but ONE ran! No! lease come on get out.
• My connection was when his friends did not beleive him he felt like he was a bad friend. the worst part was that they played a terrible prank and he got them back now they hate him.it reminded me of when i tryed to do the right thing but my friend got mad at me. ya like im suppose to know doing the right thing is now wrong.

• My favorite part of the book was when Gustave and Jean-Paul spinkel bread crumbs from above the dock. They were doing it because their best friend Marcel had done it before, and now he wasn't there anymore ........he was at a regestration camp. Gustave and Jean-Paul were ready to go to america.
• My connection is when I read that Gustave had to go from Paris to Saint Georges, just like I had to move from Baltimore, Maryland, to Burleson, Texas.

• My favorite part in the book was when Hugo stool a wind up toy. The old man that owned the toy shop got on to Hugo, and got mad, and started to say funny stuff. he toy store was by the train stop.
• this book reminds me of a mystery book because in some parts in the book its kinda like a mystery.

• My favorite part of the book was when the colony thought that the Nemasket chief,Corbitant,killed Squanto. A few days later they found Squanto alive and well. They relized that the indian,Hobomok, had lied to the whole colony. They did not murder him though. In the end they had a feast. Which what we now call as THANKS GIVING.
• My connection is when Redekah's brother got sick and healed, just like I did once.

• my favorite part was when the librarians grave stone said, ELECTRA DIETZ, 1851-1912, SHH! HERE LIES THE LIBRIAN. After years of service, tried and true heaven stamped her OVER DUE. It was agood poem.
• my connection was when jake came into peewee's room and said twister. it reminded me of a show '' sweet life on deck ''.

• My favorite part is when Charley got attacked by yellow jackets. Laura's family went over to Uncle Henry and Aunt Polly's house, because Pa and Uncle Henry had to cut down the grain in the field. Later when they got there Pa and Uncle Henry went to go do they're job. Soon Uncle Henry called Charley to come and help because he was a lazy boy that always made trouble...at first Charley didn't want to but he went to go help. But Charley wouldn't he he would make trouble like not get the men water when he was asked, and he would play jokes on them like scream and shout like something was wrong. Finally Charley screamed and jumped up and down the men thought that he was joking,but later they went to go see what's up and found Charley covered in yellow jackets.
• My connection to Pa thinking the tree stump was a bear is...when I was little girl sometimes when I saw a shadow I would think it was some kind of monster.But it was just a person, a weird shape or a little/big tree.

• My favorite part is when eva gets a new family and her friend live right next to each other. i like this part because i like the way that everybody else lives far away exempt them two.
• i can connect because i always moved away from my friends and then my sub in pre-k always moved to the same nieghborhood.

• My favorite part was when old yeller had to fight a mother bear. It was cool because old yeller was smaller than the bear way smaller. He chased the mother bear out of the yard because the bear was too scared.
• My connection is when old yeller died and Travis was very sad it reminded me when I had a pet die and I was very sad.

• My favorite part of book was when Chet got bitten in the calf by a shark! The shark had ripped off part of his calf. If his friends wern't there at Matawan creek he would have been ..... dead. They were and they saved him, and he was at least glad about that. Glad his friends were there to rescue him.
• My connection is that I' ve seen a shark before.

• My favorite part is when zaka and katara got stuck inbetween ice burg when zaka was fishing when. It happend because katara was water bender and shes o.k at it but she started moving her hands from getting mad at zaka and water benders use their hands. Then she broke down a big ice burg on accadent wich started the rage.
• My connection is i watched the movie avatar the last air bender ,and well acully the book is like the show so the people who say the movie is nothing like the book check again or just in the book avatar ,and movie avatar!

• My favorite part was when Billie Jo tried to help her family, she got on a sub station bus and rode south looking for a new environment, for her and her father.
• My Connection was when Billie Jo finally let go of her mother, and baby franklin.It reminded me of when my father said it was hard for him to let his father go on with his life after so many years of mercy.

• My favorite part is in the first letter written by William Prat talks about what his house looks like and what he looks like. I love it when he talks about his house because back then they are poor and he just had a beautiful house. I wish i had William Prats house.
• My connection is that in the hole book they are righting letters back in fourth to each other and it reminds me of over my dead body and old cemetery road because they both right letters back and fourth to each other to.

• my favorite part was when it talked about the baby lepord and alot of things about lions,tigers. then they showed common things about pet cats and wild cats like the lepord stretches like a pet cat. so the other things it talked about was that all cats lick thereself for cleaning,body temputure.
• my connection is that my dogs licks there self for temputure so they do not get over heated and have to go to the vet.

• my favorite part about this book was whenit said"when the rattle snake attacks it shakes its tail and it means go away".so the other part i liked was the python cuase it said" a python can swolow a whole dear ".then the other one i liked was the rat snake with 2 heads and milions of people came to see it before it died.
• my connection was when one time i was up on a hill then i saw a rattle snake and it almost bite my hand then when i killed in i cut off the rattler.

• my favorite part is in one of the chapters it says four days of the sun shone and wether. It didnt really make sense but when i kept reading it it made sense. i loved that chapter because it was in winter and it made me think of winter
